Stray

James and Rachel seem like the perfect parents: well-educated, successful, middle class…white. But when their adopted son from Uganda is threatened with expulsion from school, they are confronted with the real challenges of parenting a traumatized child in suburban America. By Ruth McKee, directed by Giovanna Sardelli.

Stray is being produced under the auspices of Cherry Lane Theatre’s Obie Award winning Mentor Project Series. Mentor Project, the cornerstone of Cherry Lane Theatre's development programs, engages pre-eminent dramatists in one-to-one mentoring relationships with aspiring playwrights for an entire theatre season. This season’s mentors included David Henry Hwang, Craig Lucas and Charles Fuller.

Subway	1 train to Christopher St / Sheridan Square. Walk south (down) 7th Ave to Commerce St, turn right onto Commerce St to theatre.
Bus	The M 20 bus stops at Christopher Street and Seventh Avenue. When you exit, walk three blocks south on Seventh Avenue to COMMERCE STREET (also called CHERRY LANE, on the West Side of Seventh Avenue). Turn right onto Commerce Street and walk to the end of the street. The theatre will be on your left. Be sure and ask your bus driver if the bus you're taking stops at Christopher Street.
