Bartholomew Fair, Nj

A comedy in verse

Part of the Midtown International Theatre Festival

Featuring more than 20 characters played by only five actors, with minimal props & costumes, this rhyming ode to the eighties is a totally awesome example of limited resources and lots of talent.

Gently inspired by Ben Jonson’s 1641 classic, Billy Mitchell's "Garden State" version pays homage to the original play with a five-act structure, inclusion of a puppet show and a clashing of classes, but that’s where the similarities end. Written in iambic pentameter and relocated to 1985 New Jersey, Mitchell’s Fair brings a contemporary sensibility to a classic comedy without breaking the bank.

Cast:

Mark Dunn, Benjamin Holmes, Leticia Diaz, Philip Corso and Courtney Kochuba.

80 minute running time and is appropriate for all ages.
